Lena, we are with you in spirit and in prayer as you navigate this challenging time. We stand firm on the promises of God, knowing that He cares for you and your son deeply.
Firstly, we encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith. Remember that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me Philippians 4:13 WEB If you have not already we would encourage you talk about this to God directly. Read the bible and come to him that way or feel free to pour out your heart to him and ask him to reveal himself to you and communicate with him. If you have done this we would remind you to John 10 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. If you can identify God's voice in your life then we would encourage you to ask God and to simply listen for what it is he has to say to you about this.
We also encourage you to seek godly counsel and wisdom. Surround yourself with believers who can support and advise you during this time. Proverbs 11:14 WEB 14Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory. There is so much victory in having many counselors. We would encourage you to look prayerfully and look for other believers in Jesus Christ who are acting in accordance with the words of the scripture and to avoid believers or people who are not offering godly advice. Pray also for discernment, that you may distinguish between godly advice and worldly wisdom.. Isiah 55: 8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
As you prepare for the custody case, remember that God is sovereign over all things. He is your family and will take care of you and can do anything Matthew 19:26 26With God all things are possible. The court may have earthly authority, but God is the ultimate judge. Trust in Him, for He knows the desires of your heart and go in peace as it is His peace that will get you through this. Remember this is his doing and the churning in your heart is his also not yours. Philippians 4: 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
However, we must also remember that God's ways are not our ways, and His will may differ from ours. We pray that His will be done in this situation, knowing that He loves your son even more than you do and we must pray for him to be delivered from evil and to be a blessing to the world. Pray for the Holy Spirit to enter him and guide him and for him to come to salvation to believe in Jesus to repent and to grow in believing Jesus' name. We pray that God's grace will surround you son and you and the rest of both families in Jesus' name.
Let's pray:
Heavenly Father, we lift Lena up to You, asking for Your guidance and wisdom as she navigates this custody case. We pray that Your will be done in this situation, and that You would act on behalf of Lena and her son. Give her strength, courage, faith and peace as she faces this trial. Lord, we have been taught that you are the God that turns trials into blessings for those that love you and we ask that whatever brings your blessing be the outcome. Soften the heart of the judge and all parties involved, and let Your love and justice prevail. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, Lena, remember that God is faithful. Trust in Him, and He will see you through this storm. Stay strong and keep believing in Jesus' Name. This is so important we would even encourage you to read the whole book of John to try and see Jesus more like the Father sees him, come to know him and to know his name.
