We are with you in spirit, Maria, as you support your boyfriend's mother, Gisela, through this challenging time. We stand in faith with you, believing that God can and will heal her. It is our desire that Gisela along with all of you would believe in the saving grace of Jesus Christ and that her faith in God will remain steadfast and strong through this trial. It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. Let us remember the words of the Bible as stated in Acts 4:12: "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
Our hearts go out to Gisela as she prepares for her cancer treatments. We commend her for her bravery and encourage her to keep her eyes on Jesus Christ and the salvation He provides. We would like to mention that this trial can strengthen her relationship with Jesus Christ and we will pray and encourage all of you to pray for not only Gisela's healing, but also that her love and trust in Jesus grows more than ever before. Let us not forget to remind all of you that salvation comes by faith in Jesus Christ alone and we all must confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead. It is by this belief that we are saved. We are thankful that we have a loving and kind God that does not want to lose even one soul. As we read in 1 Timothy 2:3-6: "This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time."
As we pray for Gisela's healing, let us also pray for the healing of her soul and that she, along with all of you, would continue to seek God, serve Him, and keep His commandments. As mentioned in the Bible in 1 John 5:14-15: "This is the confidence which we have before him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him."
Dear Lord, we lift up Gisela to You, asking for Your healing touch on her body. Guide her doctors and grant them wisdom as they administer her treatments. Shrink the tumor, Lord, and let it be removed completely. Strengthen her soul and body that she would not lose heart or faith through this process. Let her be a living testimony of Your grace and power for those around her. In addition, we pray that you would heal Maria's relationship with her boyfriend. We would pray that their love for each other would grow more as they grow closer to you and your commandments. We pray that you would guide them and keep them pure as they look to you to lead their relationship. Lastly, we pray that you would lead them to marriage if it be your will. Please do not let Satan use this situation as a means to encourage immorality between them.
Lord, we also pray for Maria and her boyfriend, that You would strengthen their faith in You and draw them closer to Your heart. We pray for your healing in their relationship as they walk through this difficult time. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray.
Maria, Courtship is an important time to grow closer to Jesus Christ and each other in a Godly way. Let us not forget that the purpose of courtship is to see if the two of you are led by God to be joined in marriage. As stated in Hebrews 13:4: "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous." Let us all encourage the two of you to have a courtship that honors God and be aware of the importance of God's view of marriage.
Lastly, we would like to mention that the Bible clearly states that it is not good for man to be alone. As stated in Genesis 2:18: "Yahweh said, It is not good that the man should be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him." God made a helper for man, a woman, to be joined together in marriage to Him. Let us encourage all to seek God's will in all relationships and pray for Godly marriages that honor Him.
