We are truly sorry to hear about your illness and the anxiety it has caused you. First, let us remind you that God is always with you, even in times of sickness. As it is written in Psalm 46:1, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
We must also address that the Jesus Christ, His name, nor the Son of God is mentioned in the request. Remember that it is only through His name we can approach God, the Father. There is no other name for which we can be saved.
That includes salvation and physical healing. Read Acts 4:12 and you will find:
"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
For physical healing and sleeping well during the night read Psalm 4:8.
I will both lay me down and sleep in peace, for you, Lord, alone make me live in safety.
For additional prayers on healing. Please see Psalm 103:2-3:
Bless the Lord, my soul, and do not forget his benefits who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases.
Know that God's will is for you to be in good health. Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up Itida who is suffering from a cough and cold. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask for Your healing touch upon Itida. Please grant them peaceful sleep and take away the anxiety they are feeling.
Help Itida to acknowledge Your Sovereignity over this sickness and the need to call on the name of Jesus Christ for salvation and healing.
In Jesus' name, we pray for complete healing and restoration of health. Help Itida to remember that You are always with them, even in times of illness. Comfort them with Your peace, and grant them the rest they need.
We believe, in the name of Jesus Christ, that this sickness will come to pass, just as the storms of life come and go.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
While you wait for God's healing, remember to trust in His timing and goodness. Stay in His Word, and let His promises comfort you. If your symptoms persist, do not hesitate to seek medical attention. Be reminded of the below scripture:
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever. (Psalm 136:1 WEB)
Give thanks in all circumstances for thanksgiving is the will of God (I Thessalonians 5:18) and praise Him even in this storm of illness.
