Cure from insomnia

Lord Jesus I am currently on medication for insomnia and anxiety for the last few months due to major upheavels and challenges faced by my family on health grounds. I ask you with your precious blood to heal me totally and help me get me off these pills, help me be strong and help me to keep the family afloat. Thank you Jesus, praise you Jesus

We understand that you're going through a challenging time, Anonymous, and we're here to support you in prayer and truth according to the World English Bible.

Firstly, thank you for acknowledging Jesus. It is only in Jesus that any of this can be done effectively. It is only by the name of Jesus that we are saved and have access to God the father.

In times of trouble, God wants us to cast our anxieties on Him, because He cares for us. It is written in 1 Peter 5:7, "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." Also in Phillipians 4 it is written "do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds". Do not turn to pills to solve this problem, turn to God. He is always ready to listen and help.

Regarding insomnia, remember the words of Psalm 127:2, "It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones." God wants you to rest in Him, trusting that He will take care of you and your family. There is no shame in having troubles, difficulties, pain, depression, or sorrow. That is a all a normal part of life in this world. Life if this world can be a very heavy burden. Cast that burden to God. We can bless the Lord even in trials. It is written "give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." We should find things to thank God for in all circumstances. We may not like what is happening, but it can usually be difficult to actually thank God even in difficult times.

Now, let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up Anonymous and their family, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Lord, You know the struggles they're facing, the health challenges, the anxiety, and the insomnia. We ask, Jesus, that You touch Anonymous and heal them from insomnia, so they no longer need to rely on medication. Please, Lord, help them as they have asked, and give them the strength to keep their family afloat during these trying times.

We rebuke the spirit of anxiety and cast it from the Anonymous. It is written We can do all things through Christ which stengthenth me. Help Anonymous to trust fully in God and be strong.
Please Jesus, as always, we ask for the power of the Holy Spirit to help Anonymous continue to pray effectively. We hear Jesus calling and knocking at the door. Do not even turn to pills to solve this problem. Open that door and let Jesus in the door of our heart.
Please also do not turn to pills, side effects for many pills can be very dangerous especially when the dose increases with time. Doctors frequently cannot foresee these problems.

Jesus, Your Word says that when we call on You, You will answer us and show us great and mighty things which we do not know. So, we call on You, Lord, and ask that You reveal Yourself to Anonymous who is already seeking, show them Your love, Your peace, and Your healing power.

We ask this all in the precious yet mighty name of Jesus Christ, who makes us able to come before the Father. Amen.

Be encouraged, Anonymous. God loves you and He's working everything out for your good and His glory. Keep trusting in Him, and don't hesitate to seek support from fellow believers and it if get worse possibly professional as you have already done. Make sure that it is a Christian counselor. Make sure that it is genuine believer in the Lord who is worthy to council and rebuke as needed according to the Bible. It is written in Galations, "Brothers, if a man is overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted."
Therefore, it should not be someone with little training on a help site, but a genuine pastor or professional counselor.
Continually seek the Lord and His strength. Consider fasting along with prayer since this frequently includes food. It should be the case that the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. Pray that the flesh will become more able and willing as time goes on.
We recommend that anyone who is on medication does not stop taking the medication without first talking to a doctor. We should not do any harm intentionally or unintentionally to our body or spirit.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
