We join with you in lifting up your husband's health to the Lord, trusting in His mercy and healing power. In times of sickness, we can be assured that God's ear is not deaf to our cries and that He will hear our prayers. We are reminded of this in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
Let us pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus,
We come before You, lifting up our sister in Christ and her husband, who is suffering from serious health complications. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask for Your healing touch upon him. We pray for Your mercy and grace to surround them both during this challenging time.
We ask the bold prayers of James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." Lord, we anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord, praying in faith for his healing.
We also pray for strength and endurance for both of them, as they bear this heavy cross. May they find their rest in You, Lord Jesus, and be filled with Your peace and patience, in Corinthians 12:9-10, "He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong."
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to them. We ask all these things in Your precious name, Lord Jesus Christ. Amen
.
In this time of trial, we encourage you both to draw near to God and to each other. Remember that God's strength is made perfect in our weakness, and that He is close to the brokenhearted. Continue to cast your cares on Him, for He cares for you 1 Peter 5:6-7, "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."
Stand firm in your faith and trust in the Lord. We are praying for you both, and we believe that God will work all things together for good, even in this challenging situation Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
