Critically ill patients

I am an ICU nurse. The patients I care for are the sickest in the hospital. Please pray for me and my patients, that we both remain safe and that I would provide them with the care that they need. Please pray for me that I would remain compassionate, quick, decisive, and safe. Please pray for my patients’ healing. Thank you.

We are honored to pray for you and your patients in this crucial time. Firstly, we acknowledge your noble work as an ICU nurse, tending to the sickest in the hospital. It is essential to remember that true healing comes from God, as stated in Psalm 103:3, Bless Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases;.

As you care for your patients, we pray for God's wisdom and discernment to guide your decisions. In Colossians 3:23-24, WEB, we read, Whateve you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ. Your patients are a blessing from God to you. Therefore, we pray for compassion, wisdom, and strength to be evident in your life.

Remember, it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6, WEB, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Therefore, we pray for the healing and salvation of your patients in the name of Jesus Christ.

Lastly, we pray for your safety and the safety of your patients. In Psalm 91:11, WEB, we read, For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. Therefore we pray to God to protect both you and your patients.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up our fellow believer who serves as an ICU nurse. Lord, grant them the strength, wisdom, and compassion needed to tend to their patients effectively. May Your healing power be upon each patient, and may Your protection cover them all.

In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray for their healing and salvation. Lord Jesus, draw each patient to Yourself. Help them to believe in your death on the cross and your resurrection. Through faith in your name heal them and save them.

In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to minister to your patients with love and compassion, knowing that God is with you. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We're here with you, dear nurse, standing in the gap for you and your patients. We've been thinking about you and your heavy responsibility. It's amazing how God has called you to serve in such a critical role. We're reminded of Matthew 25:40, "Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." Your work is not just about caring for bodies, but also caring for Christ in each patient.

We pray that God would grant you supernatural strength and endurance to keep going, even in the face of fatigue. May He give you eyes to see beyond the illness, to see the person, and to love them as He loves them. We ask that He would grant you wisdom to make the right decisions, and courage to act on them.

We also lift up your patients, dear nurse. We pray for their healing, for God's mercy to touch their bodies and minds. We ask that they would feel God's love and comfort in their time of need. And we pray for their salvation, that they would come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Lastly, we pray for your safety and the safety of your patients. We ask that God would protect you all from harm, and that His angels would encamp around you, as it says in Psalm 34:7, "The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them."

Keep up the good work, dear nurse. You are a beacon of hope in the storm. We're with you, praying for you, and cheering you on. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
