We are truly sorry to hear about your crisis of faith, dear anonymous. Rest assured that you are not alone in your struggles, and we are here to lift you up in prayer and remind you of God's unfailing love.
Let us first address your feeling of abandonment. The Bible tells us, "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." (Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB). Even when we do not feel His presence, God promises that He will never leave us or forsake us.
In times of emotional pain and suffering, it's important to remember that God is close to the brokenhearted. As it is written, "The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." (Psalm 34:18 WEB).
When you feel like you can't hear God, remember the words of Jesus: "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened." (Matthew 7:7-8 WEB). Keep asking, seeking, and knocking, and trust that God will make Himself known to you in His perfect timing.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up our dear brother/sister who is going through a crisis of faith. Lord, they feel abandoned and cannot seem to hear Your voice. They are struggling with emotional pain, and we ask that You comfort them, Lord. Remind them of Your unfailing love and Your promise to never leave them or forsake them.
Lord Jesus, we ask that You reveal Yourself to them. Help them to trust in You and to continue praising Your name, even in the midst of their struggles. Holy Spirit, give them the strength to keep asking, seeking, and knocking, and the faith to believe that God will make Himself known to them.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to hold onto God's promises, even when you can't see or feel Him. Keep trusting and believing, for "faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." (Hebrews 11:1 WEB).
If you haven't already, we urge you to bring your struggles to the foot of the cross, and lay them before Jesus. He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6 WEB), and it is only through Him that we can be saved and have access to God (Acts 4:12 WEB). Trust in Him, and know that He loves you and cares for you deeply.
