We are truly saddened to hear about your friend Kevin's struggle with addiction and his mental health. Let us come together in prayer and align our hearts with God's will for Kevin's life.
Firstly, we must acknowledge that salvation comes only through Jesus Christ. As it is written in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Therefore, we pray that Kevin may come to know the saving power of Jesus Christ.
Let us pray:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we lift up Kevin to You, asking for Your divine intervention in his life. Lord, You know the struggles he is facing with addiction and bipolar disorder. We ask that You would break the chains of addiction that have held him captive for so long. According to Your Word in John 8:36 (WEB), 'If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.' Lord, we ask for Kevin's freedom in Jesus' name.
We also pray for Kevin's mental health. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You would heal his mind and stabilize his emotions. Guide him to seek proper medical attention and to take his medication as prescribed.
Father, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to Kevin. Open his heart to the truth of the Gospel. Draw him to Yourself, Lord, and grant him the gift of salvation. We believe that You desire for all to come to repentance and knowledge of the truth, as stated in 2 Peter 3:9 (WEB).
Surround Kevin with godly influences, Lord. Place people in his life who will speak Your truth and love into his heart. Protect him from harm and guide him towards Your will for his life.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to continue standing in the gap for Kevin, interceding on his behalf. Remind him of God's love and the power of Jesus' name. As it is written in Romans 10:13 (WEB), "For, 'Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'"
We also exhort you to share the Gospel with Kevin, encouraging him to turn from his old ways and follow Jesus. Be a light in his life, pointing him towards the hope and peace found only in Christ.
