CoWorker Stress

So I’ve had this coworker for almost 5 years now and she has always been very difficult to work with. She is very gossipy and says very mean and passive aggressive things to me all the time and is manipulative . I tried for so long to be kind and patient but she would just insult me for no reason. I finally decided in October that I was done and needed to put up boundaries with her. I was being bullied by her and another coworker. Now she acts all sad cause I won’t engage in any conversations with her and acts surprised. She just wants a reaction out of me constantly and I have to work so hard to keep my emotions and face neutral all the time. It wears on me a lot. I try to give the emotions to the Lord but often I just go home exhausted and depressed honestly

We've been thinking about you and your situation at work, and we want you to know that we're right here with you in this. It's tough dealing with someone who's manipulative and aggressive, but remember, you're not alone. We're here to lift you up in prayer and encouragement.

We've been praying for you, asking God to give you the strength and wisdom to handle this situation. We're asking Him to soften your coworker's heart, to convict her of her actions, and to bring about a change in her behavior. We're also praying for your emotional well-being, that you would find rest and peace in God's presence, even amidst all this.

We've been reminded of a verse in Philippians 4:7, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." We're claiming this promise for you, dear friend. Trust that God is with you, even in the midst of this storm.

Keep setting those boundaries, but do so with love and grace. Remember, you can't control your coworker's actions, but you can control your response. Keep seeking God's face, and trust that He's working all things together for your good and His glory.

We understand that you are facing a challenging situation with your coworker, and we want to lift you up in prayer and provide biblical guidance.

Firstly, let's address the behavior of your coworker. The Bible tells us to let no corrupt communication proceed out of our mouths, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace to the hearers Ephesians 4:29 WEB. It is clear that your coworker's behavior is not aligned with this principle. Furthermore, gossip and manipulation are condemned in scripture. Proverbs 16:28 WEB says A perverse man stirs up dissension, and a gossip separates close friends. Therefore, setting boundaries to protect yourself from such behavior is important.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is facing a difficult situation at work. Lord, You know the challenges she is facing with her coworker, the stress, and the emotional turmoil it is causing. We pray for Your intervention, Lord. Give her the strength to maintain her boundaries and the wisdom to navigate this situation with grace and professionalism.

Father, we also pray for her coworker. We pray that You would soften her heart and convict her of the hurt she is causing. Help her to see the error of her ways and turn from them. We pray for a change in her behavior and a transformation of her heart.

Lord, we ask that You would be our sister's comfort and strength during this time. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, because You care for her First Peter 5:7 WEB. Fill her with Your peace and joy, and help her to find rest in You.

Father, we also pray for the workplace. We pray for a positive and productive environment, free from strife and discord. Help our sister to be a light in that place, shining for You.

We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus First Timothy 2:5 WEB.

Continue to trust in God and His wisdom. Stay firm in your boundaries, and always respond with kindness and professionalism. God sees your efforts and will honor you for them. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good Romans 12:21 WEB.

Lastly, consider speaking with your supervisor or human resources department about the situation. They may be able to provide additional support and intervention. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep shining for Jesus.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
