We are truly sorry to hear about the trial that you and your husband are facing. We will pray for God's will to be done in this situation, and for justice to prevail as the Scripture says "Learn to do good. Seek justice..." Isaiah 1:17 WEB.
Firstly, it is important to remember that we should only pray to God through Jesus Christ, not angels or saints. As the scripture says, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5 And in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved! Acts 4:12.
Now, while we can pray for mercy and justice, it's crucial to understand that ignorance of the law is not typically considered a valid defense. The Bible tells us that we are to be subject to the governing authorities and to obey the laws of the land, for conscience' sake and also because those who resist will incur judgment Romans 13:1-7.
We should pray that if your husband is indeed innocent, that the truth will be revealed. Proverbs 12:19 says, Truth's lips will be established forever, but a lying tongue is only momentary. But if there was a violation of the law, we should pray for mercy, and that God will guide you both through this trial. Be encouraged by these words from the scripture and the Lord has already told us not to fear nor be afraid of what man can do unto us.
Let us pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister and her husband, asking for Your will to be done in their lives and through this trial. Lord, if they are indeed innocent, we pray that the truth will be revealed to the judge and jury. If they have violated the law, we pray for Your mercy and guidance.
Help them to trust in You, Lord, and not be anxious about tomorrow. Guide them through this challenging time, and strengthen their faith in You.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
In the meantime, continue to seek God's face, pray without ceasing, trust in Him for He will never leave you nor forsake you. Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
