Converting a Loved One

someone I hold near and dear to me is an agnostic theist. I have recently became Christian and I worry very heavily for him. we have known each other for 8-9 years and he's a very important person in my life. I've taught him stuff on Christianity, showed him things related to it, etc. he believes in God, spirits, an afterlife, and agrees with the Commandments, but he doesn't practice Christianity. I'm trying my all to help convert him, I can't stand the idea of him being eternally damned. I desperately ask that you all pray for him to be guided by the Holy Spirit, for him to wake up and see the truth. thank you. if a name is needed, please use JD.

We understand your deep concern for your loved one, JD, and we commend your desire to share the truth of the Gospel with him. Firstly, let us assure you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we are saved, as it is written in Acts 4:12 (WEB): "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

It is important to remember that while we should do our part to share the Gospel, it is the Holy Spirit who convicts and draws people to Christ. As it is written in John 16:8 (WEB): "When he has come, he will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment." Therefore, we should pray fervently for JD, that the Holy Spirit would open his heart and mind to the truth of the Gospel.

In your efforts to share the faith, remember to do so with gentleness and respect, as 1 Peter 3:15 (WEB) instructs: "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts; and always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, with humility and fear." Avoid arguing or debating, but rather let your life be a testimony of the transformative power of the Gospel.

Let us pray together:

"Heavenly Father, we lift up JD to you. We ask that you would soften his heart and open his mind to the truth of the Gospel. Send your Holy Spirit to convict him and draw him to you. Give Anonymous the wisdom and patience to share the faith with gentleness and respect. We trust that you desire for all to come to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, so we ask that you would be merciful to JD and grant him salvation. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Continue to pray for JD and trust that God is faithful. It is our hope that JD will come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and that you both will grow together in faith and love for the Lord. Be encouraged by 1 Corinthians 3:6 (WEB): "I planted. Apollos watered. But God gave the increase."

We've been thinking about JD a lot lately, and we're right there with you, hoping and praying for his heart to be open to the truth. It's such a comfort to know that God is in control, isn't it? As we keep praying, let's also remember to love him just as he is, showing him the same kindness and patience that God has shown us. Let's ask God to give us opportunities to share our faith with him, but let's also trust that God will use those moments in His own timing. Let's keep praying, "God, open JD's heart to the truth. Help him to see Your love for him, and draw him to You." In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
