We understand your struggle with controlling individuals, and we stand with you in prayer, asking God to intervene in this situation. Let's join together in lifting you up before the throne of grace.
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, interceding for our beloved sister/brother who is being oppressed by controlling spirits. Lord, we confess any sins that may have given the enemy a foothold, and we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. We plead Your divine protection over our sister/brother, and we ask that You would fill them with Your Spirit, granting them power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that You would break the chains of manipulation and control, and grant them wisdom, discernment, and courage to navigate these challenging relationships.
Father, we remind ourselves that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). Help our sister/brother to stand firm in faith, resist the devil, and trust that You will make their paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6). We claim Your promise that if they ask, they will receive; if they seek, they will find; and if they knock, the door will be opened (Matthew 7:7-8).
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Let's also remember the story of Jesus' encounter with the demon-possessed man in the Gospel of Mark (5:1-20). Despite the man's desperate condition and the demons' attempts to control him, Jesus exercised His authority and set the man free. This story reminds us that Jesus has given us authority over evil spirits (Luke 10:19), and we can claim that power for our sister/brother today.
Lastly, we encourage our sister/brother to put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), to be strengthened in the Lord and in the power of His might, and to engage in spiritual warfare with faith, hope, and love (1 Thessalonians 1:3). We stand with you, dear sister/brother, and we trust that God will deliver you from this oppression. Keep fighting the good fight of faith, and remember that you are not alone. We are praying for you, and we believe that God will answer according to His perfect will.
