A friend refuses to apologize for things she's done to me. She won't take accountability for one simple reason: she thinks it's a gesture of SUBMISSION. She sees it as some sort of groveling, a lowering of her "status". She thinks it's about admitting to being a Lesser Person. She thinks she would be "laying down" and giving up her control and dominant position to me. This leaves me feeling abused. She thinks people who apologize TO HER are SHOWING SUBMISSION in the same way. That's why she got MORE controlling when I apologized. She manipulated me to take responsibility for something I didn't do. My hurt meant nothing. Her shame caused her to rage, though I love this person I had to leave the friendship. Practically everything is interpreted as domination and submission, who has control and who is being controlled, who is being recognized as more important and who is not. Lord heal her of her own self destruction in Jesus name Amen

Forgive her anyways. As believers, Christians, we are supposed to be 'dead' to the rudiments of the world, included offenses. We are called to love. Hurt people, hurt people, broken people, break people, this is why we are called to be like Jesus, gracious, full of compassion, slow to anger and of great mercy and to be good to all and His tenders mercies are over all his works.

Father, I thank you for revealing your love to us and showing us the way of how to be like you in mercy and compassion, touch this person's heart to see how you see and bless their lives with revelation knowledge of your love. In Jesus name. Amen
