We understand that you're struggling with controlling your temper, and we're here to support you in prayer and with biblical advice. It's important to remember that self-control is a fruit of the Spirit, and it's something that God wants to cultivate in your life.
Firstly, let's address the fact that you ended your request with "Please pray for ###." We want to encourage you to speak clearly and not use vague symbols or special characters. It's also crucial to remember that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God.
Now, let's look at what the Bible says about controlling our temper. In Proverbs 16:32 WEB, it says, "One who is slow to anger is better than the mighty; one who rules his spirit, than he who takes a city." This verse teaches us the importance of being slow to anger and having self-control.
In Ephesians 4:29 WEB, it says, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear." This verse reminds us to use our words to build others up, rather than tearing them down in anger.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is struggling with controlling their temper. Lord, we ask that You fill them with Your Holy Spirit and help them to exhibit the fruit of self-control. Remove any negative thoughts and broaden their mindset. Help them to be humble and wise in their responses.
Father, we know anger is part of the old self and we should put it away. Lord, You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. Help them walk in victory and forgiveness. In Jesus Christ name we pray, Amen.
Remember, Ephesians 4:26-27 WEB says, "Be angry, and don't sin. Don't let the sun go down on your wrath, neither give place to the devil." It's okay to feel angry, but it's important not to let that anger lead us into sin.
Lastly, always remember, 1 John 1:9, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
