We understand that you're going through a challenging time, ###, and we appreciate your recognition of Jesus in your request. It's important to remember that God cares about our every need, including our financial struggles. We are instructed in 1 Peter 5:7, Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you.
Firstly, we want to encourage you to continue trusting in God's provision. In Matthew 6:25-34, Jesus teaches us not to be anxious about our lives, what we will eat or what we will drink, nor about our bodies, what we will put on. He reminds us that our heavenly Father knows that we need all these things and that we should seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to us as well. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
However, we also want to remind you of the importance of being a good steward of your finances. In Proverbs 21:5, The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty, but those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty. and in Romans 13:8 Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. It is wise to prioritize your expenses and pay off your debts as soon as possible. Consider seeking financial counseling or advice from a trusted source to help you manage your money more effectively.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today, lifting up ### and their financial struggles. We ask that you provide for their needs, as you promise in your word to supply all our needs according to your riches in glory by Messiah Jesus. Give them the mental clarity and fortitude they need to continue through this difficult season, and help them to trust in your provision.
We also pray that you would guide ### in managing their finances wisely, and that they would be a good steward of the resources you have given them. Help them to prioritize their expenses and to pay off their debts as soon as possible and to avoid such heavy situations in the future.
In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Remember, ###, that it is amazing to give thanks to the Lord in all situations. God is not the causer of bad things. Because of freewill in the world, people have caused others to have bad in their lives! However, God can turn it around according to his will. If times are difficult, God will provide when you are in his will. He is our rock, our fortress, and our deliverer. He is our God, our rock in whom we take refuge, of shield, and the horn of our salvation, our high tower. The same declaration is repeated in Psalms 18:2 and 2 Samuel 22:3.
Lastly, we must always be mindful, to ask for God's will. This is important for God to answer our prayers. We should not ask or pray for things outside of God's will for our lives. We should be asking God for his will, so that we can do what he wants, not what we nor others want! Allow God to deliver you, we should not direct God to do, ex. what we want him to do nor be presumptuous about him doing something for us. We are to do God's will!
