We understand that you're going through a challenging time in your relationship and we're here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance.
Firstly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as it is only through Him that we have access to God's throne of grace. It's important to remember that God's will is for us to be holy and blameless, and that includes our relationships.
We must address that the ongoing arguments and the threat of breaking up are not God's design. The Bible tells us to "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear." Ephesians 4:29.
Both of you should be mindful of your words and actions, ensuring that they align with biblical principles. "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." Ephesians 4:31-32.
It's also crucial to remember that God's design for relationships is for a man and a woman to be joined in holy matrimony. If you and ### are not married, we encourage you to consider God's will for your relationship. Courtship should be a time of getting to know each other better with the intention of building a life together in marriage.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up ###, ###, and ### to You. Lord, we pray for Your will to be done in their lives and relationship. We pray for healing, understanding, and peace between them. We ask that You help ### to see the error in her ways and to apologize for the hurt she has caused. Lord, we pray for Your guidance in their relationship, that they may seek You first and honor You in all they do.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying and seeking God's will for your relationship. Remember to forgive as Christ forgave you, and to love one another as Christ loved us. If you are in a dating relationship, seeking marriage should be your goal and not just remaining a happy couple. If the issues continue, it's important to not be unequally yoked and consider breaking up the dating relationship rather than being mentally drained and having arguments.
