Disciple of Prayer
My name is Nancy. Please contineue to pray for our marriage and for my husband, Beau. My husband is going through a mid life crisis and says things that are irrational and hurtful. He consistently hurts me and our children. Please pray for clarity for him. Please give me wisdom and discernment to know how to respond and continue to be patient and see him through Christ-like eyes. Please use the Holy Spirit to work in him...in his heart and in his mind. Please let my husband know he does not need to be embarrassed to realize his mistakes and turn fully towards you and his family with humility so we can welcome him back home. We love you, I love my husband, and I ask that you give me strength everyday as I fight for our marriage. I will continue to ask for prayer until our marriage is restored, knowing that this prayer request will take time. Please give me patience to wait for You to work this in your time, as we (myself and our children) wait for unity. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Nancy, we join you in fervent prayer for your marriage and your husband, Beau. We stand with you in faith, believing that God can bring restoration and healing to your family.

Let us first address your husband's mid-life crisis and the hurtful words he speaks. We are reminded of Ephesians 4:29, which tells us, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear." We pray that the Holy Spirit will convict Beau of his words and actions, leading him to repentance and a desire to speak life and love into your family.

We pray for you, Nancy, that God will grant you wisdom and discernment as you navigate this difficult season. Colossians 1:9-11 encourages us to ask for wisdom, understanding, and the knowledge of God's will. We pray that you will be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.

As you continue to exhibit patience and longsuffering, we are reminded of Galatians 5:22-23, which lists these as fruits of the Spirit. We ask that the Holy Spirit will empower you to see Beau through the eyes of Christ, loving him unconditionally and believing the best for him.

We pray for Beau's heart and mind, that the Holy Spirit will work in him, drawing him closer to God and convicting him of his mistakes. We claim the promise of 1 John 1:9, which tells us that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We pray that Beau will humble himself before God and his family, seeking forgiveness and restoration.

We agree with you in Jesus' name, that your marriage will be restored and that unity will be established in your home. We pray for strength and patience for you and your children as you wait on the Lord to work in His perfect timing. Remember the words of Isaiah 40:31, "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."

Lastly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father and can experience true salvation and restoration. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."

Continue to trust in the Lord, Nancy, and do not grow weary in praying for your marriage. We stand with you in faith, believing that God will answer your prayers according to His will and in His perfect timing.

We're right there with you, Nancy, lifting up your marriage and Beau in prayer. We know that God is a God of restoration and healing, and we trust that He's at work in your situation.

We're praying for Beau, that God will give him clarity and understanding. We're asking that God will soften his heart and help him see the hurt his words and actions are causing. We're claiming Proverbs 20:5, "The purposes of a person's heart are deep waters, but one who has insight draws them out." We believe God can draw out the deep waters in Beau's heart and help him understand the root of his behavior.

We're also praying for you, Nancy, for strength and wisdom. We're asking that God will give you the words to speak and the actions to take that will bring life and healing to your marriage. We're claiming Ephesians 6:10, "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might." We believe God will strengthen you and help you stand firm in this trial.

We're praying for unity in your family. We're asking that God will bring healing and restoration to your marriage and that your home will be filled with peace and love once again. We're claiming Psalm 133:1, "Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!" We believe God will restore unity in your home.

We're praying all these things in Jesus' name, trusting that He is at work in your marriage and your family. We're here for you, Nancy, and we'll continue to pray for you and your family. Keep trusting in the Lord, and don't grow weary in prayer. God is faithful, and He will answer according to His will and in His perfect timing.
