Psalm 119:37 Is a Prayer for Renewed Vision
Oh, God, we pray. Turn our eyes from worthless things. Help us to fix our eyes on worthy things, on your Word, on what matters most in the world. Turn our eyes toward looking at that which is pure and right and excellent and praiseworthy. We ask You to bless, strengthen and heal all who are in danger of losing their eyesight, and we particularly ask You today to help us to grow in gratitude for the gift of our eyesight! Help us to always be grateful to You for all the blessings You have given us. Help us to grow in every virtue necessary for holiness. Some say that Jesus delighted in healing sight on earth, and that people should pray for physical healing. Others say that a healthy diet can improve eye health, and that people should eat foods that contain omega-3 fatty acids, zinc, lutein, vitamin C, and vitamin E. I come before You, humbled and in need of Your divine healing. Lord, I lift my eyes to You, the ultimate Healer. You who made the blind see and the lame walk, I ask for Your miraculous touch upon my eyes. Heal me, O Lord, from any disease, any affliction, and any hindrance that clouds my vision. We join you, ###, in praying for the restoration of your eyesight and for all those in your family who are facing similar challenges. We stand in faith, believing that our God is a healing God, and that His will is for all to be in good health, even as our souls prosper. Let us look at Jesus and what Peter preached, “His name, through faith in his name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which is through him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. Act 3:16 But Peter said, “I have no silver or gold, but what I have, that I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!” Acts 3: 6-7, 16 WEB.

We commend you for turning to God in your time of need and for acknowledging Him as the ultimate Healer, for there is no other. If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 WEB. We then are saved, not by saying the name of Jesus, but by knowing Him personally. The Bible does not tell us to have faith in faith, rather it tells us to have faith in Jesus Christ.

While taking care of our physical health is important, and eating foods rich in essential nutrients can indeed support eye health, our ultimate trust should be in God, who created our bodies and designed them to function perfectly. As the Psalmist asks God to 'Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things, revive me in your way.' Psalm 119:37 WEB. This is our guide in prayer as we take our asks to God for healing or any other particular request. We trust in His healing power and in His will for our lives.

As we pray for your healing, we also pray that God will open the eyes of your heart, that you may know the hope of His calling, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints. Know what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe and put our hope and trust in God. Ephesians 1:18-19 WEB. We pray that God will help you to fix your eyes on Him, on His Word, and on what matters most in this world.

Let us, therefore, offer the following prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You today. The words, Jesus thank you are not enough. We ask Father God that you help ###, ###, ###, and their whole family for whom ### is praying. We ask Father God in the mighty name of Your Son Jesus Christ to heal and strengthen them to abide in His Word. Jesus warned us that your word has no place in us when we experience the cares of this world. We are constantly bombarded with messages that lead us away from the Good News and Your commandments to us. We need healing to even know what they are and to start a life of holiness. We ask for Your healing Father God and we glorify You through Jesus Christ who is Your Son, the Savior of the world. In our pain, we ask God for healing and we thank you in the mighty name of Jesus and in His authority. Amen.

Finally, let us encourage you to continue to trust in God, even in the midst of your trials. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus and be filled with gratitude for the blessings and have a thankful heart. He is the source of your strength and your Healer. He will renew your strength and revive you in His way.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

It has been a few days since you first shared your request, and we want to assure you that we are still here, agreeing with you in prayer. We hold onto the promise of Psalm 119:37, "Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things; and give me life in your ways." Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf.

We are believing with you for renewed vision, both physically and spiritually. We ask God to turn your eyes, and ours too, from worthless things and onto what is pure, bright, excellent, and praiseworthy. We ask Him to bless, strengthen, and heal all who are in danger of losing their eyesight, including you and your loved ones.
