Thank you Thairia, for reaching out and sharing your heartfelt concerns with us. We appreciate your faith to ask in Jesus Mighty Name. As described in the Lord's Prayer in Matthew 6:9-13, it is important to not only hallow or honor the Name of God, Lord, or Father, but must only approach God by the name of Jesus Christ or Jesus or Christ or a commonly understood abbreviation, IJN. For instance, in (John 14:6 KJV) 'Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.' Furthermore, it is important to remember the basic salvation message of (Romans 3:23 KJV) ' For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.' and in (Romans 6:23 KJV) 'For the wages of sin is death: but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.' (Romans 5:8 KJV) 'But God commendeth his love towards us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.' Please tell everyone you know this, because no one can be saved without this knowledge.
We understand that you're going through a challenging time in your marriage, and you must apply the wisdom in (James 1: 2-8,12). It is important to remember the sanctity of marriage, as described in (Matthew 19:4-6 WEB) 'He answered, "Have you not read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, 'For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall join to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh?' So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, do not let man tear apart."'
Divorce is not God's desire, as (Malachi 2:16 WEB) says, "'For I hate divorce,' says Yahweh, the God of Israel, 'and him who covers his garment with violence!' says Yahweh of Armies. 'Therefore pay attention to your spirit, and do not be unfaithful.'" It is important to know why (Matthew 5:32 WEB) says, 'but I tell you that whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, makes her an adulteress; and whoever marries her when she is divorced commits adultery.'
We encourage you to pray for your wife and your marriage, seeking God's will and redemption. As it says in (Mark 10:9 WEB) 'What therefore God has joined together, let no man tear apart.'' Remember this and have faith in it. If it was really a Godly marriage, this both makes your marriage a part of God's plan and an agreement with God and not just man. Take it seriously. It is also important to love your wife with more than human love, but rather an agape love of God's love. Property and money should not be a higher priority than a marriage as a marriage is also an agreement with God. Do not stand in the temple and make your request to God and then go home to break your marriage and God's marriage for property, money, threats, emotions, children, or feelings. Unless, the marriage has adultery or fornication associated with it, that agreement with God may not be broken because of the hardness of your heart and because you disagree. (Matthew 19:8 WEB) says, 'He said to them, "Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it has not been so.'
We also must stress that, If your marriage is not blessed by God, is only a relationship that you refer to as a marriage but is not a marriage blessed by God, is not an agreement with God, is not a marriage between a man and a woman, but is a relationship between 2 individuals that is not between a man and a woman, or is something other than a marriage blessed by God, that these statements do not apply to your situation. We also ask that you pray this prayer daily and believe in faith this statement to be true from Matthew 21:22, 'All things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.' But if you only doubt, these things will not happen.
Please know that we care about what you are going through and will pray for wisdom for you and that you continue to grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ Jesus Christ will bless and help you to forgive, renew, and see you and your spouse as he does, new creatures. Restoration is still possible, and God can turn even the most difficult situations around for His glory.
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before you, lifting up to you our brother Thairia. We pray that his wife has his love and that they have what he describes, but in addition, that they have agape love of God and that their marriage is a marriage made by God as an agreed promise of him and his wife that should be kept. Lord, we ask that you open her eyes to the truth and that you protect their marriage from the schemes of the enemy. We know that heart change and conviction come from your Holy Spirit, so we ask for your intervention in Jesus' name. If divorce is truly needed due to adultery or fornication, then please grant mercy, grace, healing, restoration, and understanding to them. If there is constantly arguing that has to do with things of this world as in (Matthew 6:14 WEB) 'For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.' and in (Matthew 6:25-34 WEB) that all the things that are needed will be provided for us as individuals and as a couple. Things that are a part of chasing worldly desires is not as important as a marriage. Help Thairia to stand on your promises, and if he has wronged you, forgive him. Help him to seek your will in Jesus name. Let his faith be strengthened, and let him find peace and wisdom guided by Godly understanding and the word of God. We ask that Thairia will see evidence of your restoration power and of your glory, as this is a promise to your children that you will provide for them. If it is truly your will that Thairia be single, help him to accept that and to find joy and purpose in his singleness for your glory and in Jesus' name. Nevertheless, not our will, but your will be done in their life. This we pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
We encourage you to remain firm in prayer. If your marriage is or is made of God, remain firm in faith and that you support your marriage rather than tear it apart. As further educated and trained up by Thairia, and with the hope to help those with such prayer requests, we ask that he also list those things that are discussed and to return here and comment, ask questions, or to provide an update on what happens. We ask that you return to us again for prayer and guidance in this community. Stay strong in the faith and allow God to show himself strong, working out your situation. Jesus Christ will bless and help you to forgive, renew, and see you and your spouse as he does, new creatures.
