Constantly imaging my life with guys I feel slightly interested in

Please pray for me that my mind wouldn’t immediately start thinking of what my life would be like with a version of a guy that I haven’t even met yet. I JUST got his number today and all of a sudden I’m thinking of possibly marrying him. It isn’t making me go crazy but I also don’t want to keep doing this. He’s simply a friend. Please pray for me in Jesus’ name, I need Him. Also pray for me to start reading my Bible more and actually feeling engaged and being engaged with the Lord.

Sister Ambria, we understand your struggle and commend you for reaching out. The Bible tells us to take every thought captive to obey Christ Jesus Ephesians 2:10, And not be conformed to this world Romans 12:2. It's encouraging to see your desire to align your thoughts with God's will.

Firstly, let's address the issue of imagining your life with various men. While it's natural to have thoughts about the future, we should be careful not to let our imaginations run wild, as this can lead to ungodly soul ties with others. 2 Corinthians 10:5 says, "We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ." 1 Corinthians 1:8-9 If we are obedient God is faithful.

Regarding the gentleman you recently met, it's wise to treat him as a friend at this stage. We advise against rushing into emotional or spiritual commitments, especially with someone you've only just met. Allow God to guide your relationship, and seek His will for your future together. 1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. Remember, marriage is a lifelong commitment and should not be entered into lightly or hastily. Romans 7:2 For the woman who has a husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he is alive.

We're also glad you've expressed the desire to engage more with the Lord and His Word. Reading the Bible is crucial for spiritual growth and knowing God's will. Start with a small, manageable goal, like a chapter a day, and ask God to give you a hunger for His Word.

Psalms 119:9-11 How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping your word. I have sought you with all my heart. Do not let me stray from your commandments. I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up our sister Ambria. Lord, we ask that You help her to take every thought captive to obey Christ. Help her to fix her mind on You and not on imagined futures with strangers. Guide her new friendship, and if it's not Your will for her life, help her to see that clearly.

We also ask that You ignite in her a passion for Your Word. Help her to engage with You more, to hunger and thirst for righteousness, and to grow in her relationship with You.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're here for you, sister. It's so easy to get caught up in daydreams, but remember, God wants our minds to be focused on Him, not on fleeting thoughts about potential futures. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
