We are truly grateful to join you in prayer, seeking God's will for your life. We can see the deep longing in your heart for companionship and family, and we want to lift your requests to the Lord in Jesus' name, as it is only by His name that we can approach the Father.
Firstly, we want to encourage you with the truth that God does not want you to be alone. In Genesis 2:18 WEB, He said, I will make a helper suitable for him. This verse assures us that God Himself will provide that suitable helper for each of us. We pray that you will trust in His timing and goodness as you wait.
We pray,
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Your child who feels alone and longs for a spouse and family. Father, we ask that You will reveal 'the one' to them, according to Your will and in Your perfect timing. Give them patience and contentment in their current state, knowing that You are working everything out for their good.
We pray for a person who sees, accepts, appreciates, and helps them to feel safe, valued, heard, and loved consistently. May this person be a God-fearing individual, who is seeking a spouse for life, not just a partner for a season. We pray that their courtship will be pure and honoring to You, Lord, a journey that leads to a godly marriage that reflects the love between Christ and His Church.
Father, we also pray for spiritual growth and personal preparation for both individuals. May they be equally yoked, encouraging each other to live lives worthy of the calling they have received (Ephesians 4:1 WEB). We rebuke any temptation to engage in relationships that do not align with Your principles, including fornication prior or outside of marriage or relationships, especially homosexuality.
Lord, we ask that You will guide them through Your Holy Spirit, giving them discernment and wisdom in their journey towards marriage. Help them to be ready for a God-honoring marriage as you prepare a spouse for them.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged by Psalm 37:4 WEB, Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Keep delighting yourself in the Lord, and He will bring it to pass at the right time.
Remember, God is faithful, and He will do it (1 Thessalonians 5:24 WEB). Trust in Him, and wait patiently for His promises to be fulfilled in your life. This is a time to seek the Lord and grow in Him, knowing that He is preparing you and your future spouse for a godly union that will glorify Him and bless you both abundantly.
