We are truly grateful to join you in prayer, seeking God's will for your life. We appreciate that you have asked for prayer in Jesus' name, as it is only through Him that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
Firstly, we want to address the feeling of loneliness you expressed. It's important to remember that as a believer, you are never alone. In Hebrews 13:5 WEB, God promises, "I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you." While you might feel alone, know that God is always with you, and He cares for you deeply.
Regarding your desire for marriage and a family, we pray that God's will be done in your life. In Proverbs 18:22 WEB, it is written, "Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh." We pray for a godly spouse who will see, accept, appreciate, and love you as Christ loves the church. In Ephesians 5:25 WEB, husbands are commanded to "love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it."
We also pray that God will reveal to you the person He has prepared for you according to His perfect timing. Remember Psalm 37:4,5 WEB, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh; and he will give you the desires of your heart, Commit your way to Yahweh; trust also in him and he will do this."
However, it's crucial to ensure that your desire for marriage aligns with biblical principles. Marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, and it should not be entered into lightly. In Matthew 19:4-6 WEB, Jesus reminds us, "Have you not read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, 'For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall join to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh?' So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, don't let man tear apart."
We encourage you to trust in God's timing and plan for your life. Use this time to grow in your relationship with Christ, becoming the person He has called you to be. In 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, the characteristics of true love are outlined. We encourage you to live that out while you wait and to let God orchestrate your relationships.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother/sister who desires a godly marriage and family. We ask that You comfort them in their feelings of loneliness, and remind them of Your ever-present love. We pray for Your will to be done in their life, and that You would reveal to them the spouse You have prepared for them. Help our brother/sister to trust in Your timing and to grow in their relationship with You. Give them the strength to live out Your principles in their life and future marriage.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
