Kensem, we hear the longing in your heart for companionship and marriage, and we stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for your life. We appreciate that you are looking for a spouse and family and that you have asked for this 'in Jesus name'.
Firstly, we encourage you to find your completeness in Jesus Christ. As it is written in Colossians 2:10 WEB, "in him you have been made complete." While marriage is a blessed institution, our wholeness and value are found in Jesus Christ alone. As you seek a godly spouse, you must first find your identity and security in Jesus.
We pray that God will reveal to you "the one" He has set apart for you according to His will. However, we want to remind you that God's timing is perfect. As we wait, we must trust in His plan for our lives. We have this promise in Isaiah 64:4 WEB, "For since the beginning of the world, men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, neither has the eye seen, O God, besides you, what he has prepared for him who waits for him," and also in Psalm 37:4 WEB, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."
We pray for discernment as you seek a godly spouse, someone who truly sees, accepts, appreciates, and loves you as Jesus does. Remember that God's design for marriage is clear in the Scriptures.
We pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up Kensem. We ask that you will guide her and reveal to her the spouse you have prepared for her according to your will. Give her discernment and patience as she waits on your perfect timing. Encourage her heart and remind her of her completeness in Jesus Christ. Help her to feel valued, heard, and loved through a deeper revelation of your love for her. We rebuke any feelings of loneliness or discouragement in Jesus name. And we pray all things in Jesus name.
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You shall seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart." Jer. 29:11-13 WEB
