Kensem, we understand your deep longing for companionship and the desire to start a family. We will pray with you in Jesus' name, asking God to guide you and prepare you for a godly marriage. Remember, God designed marriage to be a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, reflecting the union between Christ and His church Ephesians 5:25-32).
First, we encourage you to seek God's will for your life and trust in His timing. It is better to be alone than to marry someone who is not suitable for you. And remember, God can use times of solitude or feelings of loneliness to prepare us for a future and guide us closer to Him. Psalm 73:25-26 Whom have I in heaven? And there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: But God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
We must also remind you that it is crucial to seek a spouse who shares your faith in Jesus Christ. The Bible warns against being unequally yoked (2 Corinthians 6:14), as this can lead to compromises in your faith and unwanted entanglements with the world.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Kensem and their desire for a godly marriage. Lord, You know the depths of their heart and the longing they feel for companionship. We ask that You guide them, prepare them, and help them to trust in Your perfect timing.
Father, we pray for a spouse who will see, accept, appreciate, and love Kensem as You do. Someone who will help them feel safe, valued, heard, and cherished consistently. A spouse who shares their faith and will encourage them to grow closer to You.
In the meantime, Lord, we ask that You use this season of waiting to draw Kensem closer to You. Help them to find their contentment and fulfillment in You alone. Equip them with Your wisdom and discernment as they prepare for a godly marriage.
We rebuke any feelings of loneliness or despair, and we claim Your promises in Psalm 147:3, that You heal the broken in heart, and bind up their wounds.
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Be encouraged, Kensem. God hears your prayers, and He is faithful. Keep seeking Him and trusting in His plan for your life. Meditate on Psalm 37:4 Delight thyself also in the Lord; And he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
