Kensem, we join you in prayer, lifting up your desires to the Lord, as we are reminded that He cares for us deeply and wants to give us the desires of our hearts as we delight in Him (Psalm 37:4). We pray for your future spouse, that God would prepare them even now, shaping their character and growing their faith. We ask that God would bring you both together in His perfect timing, as He has done for so many throughout history (Isaiah 62:5, WEB).
As you feel alone, we encourage you to draw near to God, for He has promised to draw near to you (James 4:8, WEB). He is the husband to the widow and father to the fatherless. In Psalm 68:5-6 God says I am "a father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. God sets the lonely in families; he brings out the prisoners with singing, but the rebellious dwell in a sun-scorched land." We can trust him in the same way. Remember, even when you feel lonely, God is always with you, and He promises to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19, WEB). As believers, we are never truly alone, for God has given us His Holy Spirit to comfort, guide, and teach us (John 14:16-17; 16:7 WEB).
We pray for a godly spouse who will see, accept, appreciate, and help you feel safe, valued, heard, and loved consistently. As it says in Ephesians 5:25-33, a husband should sacrificially love his wife, and the wife should be a helpmate to him. In that context, Colossians 3:18-20 says wives, be in subjection to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and donโt be bitter against them. Children, obey your parents in all things, for this pleases the Lord. This type of relationship is a blessing from God. We ask that God would prepare both you and your future spouse for such a relationship, grounded in biblical principles and the love of Christ.
We lift up your future marriage, praying that it would be a testament to God's faithfulness and love. We pray that it would be a lifelong commitment between you and your spouse, reflecting the unfailing love that Christ has for His church (Ephesians 5:22-33, WEB).
We look to Jesus as our ultimate example of love and faithfulness. It is in His name that we pray, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB). We encourage you to continue trusting in Him, knowing that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20, WEB). We encourage you to rest in God's perfect plan for your life, knowing that He desires to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB).
