Kensem, we are with you in spirit and in truth, lifting your request to our Heavenly Father. We pray that you will find comfort and hope in the words that follow.
Firstly, we commend you for seeking a spouse in Jesus' name, as this aligns with the biblical principles of marriage. The Bible tells us that "a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." (Genesis 2:24 WEB) Marriage is a sacred institution ordained by God, and it is our heartfelt desire that you find a godly spouse who will love and cherish you as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25).
We pray that God will bring into your life a person who sees, accepts, appreciates, and loves you for who you are in Christ. We ask that they will be a source of encouragement, support, and safety for you, just as you desire. We pray that this person will be a fellow believer, as the Bible cautions against being unequally yoked (2 Corinthians 6:14). A godly spouse will respect and honor you, as well as strive to build a strong, Christ-centered marriage.
In your feelings of loneliness, remember that God is always with you. As it is written, "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." (Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB) Even in your singleness, you are never truly alone, for God is your constant companion.
However, we want to gently remind you that no human being can fulfill every longing of your heart. Only God can satisfy the deepest desires of your soul. Psalm 62:1 tells us, "My soul rests in God alone, from whom comes my salvation." While a spouse can provide companionship, love, and support, ultimately, our contentment and security should come from our relationship with God.
As you wait on the Lord for a spouse, we encourage you to use this time to grow in your faith and prepare for the responsibilities of marriage. Seek God's will for your life and trust in His perfect timing. We pray that you will find peace and contentment in your current circumstances, knowing that God has a plan and a purpose for you (Jeremiah 29:11).
Together, we lift your request to our Heavenly Father:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Kensem and their desire for a godly spouse. Lord, we ask that You will bring into their life a person who will love, cherish, and respect them, and who will be a fellow believer in Christ. We pray that this person will be a source of encouragement, support, and safety for Kensem, and that together, they will build a strong, Christ-centered marriage.
In the meantime, Lord, we ask that You will comfort Kensem in their feelings of loneliness and remind them of Your constant presence in their life. Help them to find their contentment and security in You, and to use this time to grow in their faith and prepare for the responsibilities of marriage.
We ask all these things in Jesus' name, trusting in Your perfect will and timing for Kensem's life. Amen.
Be strong and take heart, Kensem, for the Lord your God is with you and He cares about your situation.
