Kensem, we hear the deep longing in your heart for companionship and marriage, and we stand with you in prayer, knowing that God cares for you deeply. We rebuke the spirit of loneliness that may be plaguing you and declare that God sees, accepts, and appreciates you just as you are.
Firstly, we encourage you to find your completeness in Christ. As it is written in Colossians 2:10, For in him all the fullness of deity dwells bodily. In this verse, it talks about Jesus having the fullness of the Godhead in Him bodily, yet we can share in this fullness being in Christ Jesus. On a parallel note, though, it reminds us, that in Jesus, we should seek for our completeness. It may feel easier to be complete in someone else, especially a spouse but you have Christ. Know that you are fully known and deeply loved by Him. Psalm 139:1-18 speaks of God's intimate knowledge of us, and His care for us. His love for you is the source of all other love.
In regards to marriage, we pray that God will bring a godly spouse into your life, someone who will love, honor, and cherish you as Christ loves the church, and you can be assured He wants this for you too. Be open to His leading and trust in His timing. In 1 Corinthians 7:39 A wife is bound by law as long as her husband lives; but if her husband is dead, she is free to be married to whom she wishes, only in the Lord. Apostle Paul admonishes us here that believers are to marry believers. Also, Proverbs 18:22 Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from Yahweh. This is a good thing, to find a wife, and that means that the wife will be found in the Lord. God wants you to have someone who will help you feel safe, valued, and loved consistently. In Ephesians 5:25, 28, Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it. This is talking about a sacrificial love and in the same way that the Church is subject to Christ, a wife is to her husband. Even so husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. It is more than sex. He that loves his own wife loves himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly;
We also encourage you to use this time to prepare for marriage. Invest in your relationship with Christ and seek to grow in your walk with Him. The Lord wants you to pray and be able to use the spouse He gives you to glorify the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ. Be open to His leading and trust in His timing.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Kensem to You. Father, You know the deep longing in their heart for a spouse and a family. We ask that You will fill them with Your love and peace, and that You will prepare them for the spouse You have for them.
Help them to trust in Your timing and to seek You first. Guide them in their walk with You and help them to grow in their relationship with You. Bring a godly spouse into their life, someone who will love, honor, and cherish them as Christ loves the Church.
We rebuke the spirit of loneliness and declare that You see, accept, and appreciate Kensem just as they are. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, Kensem. God has not left you alone and He can put a Godly Christian around you to ease the loneliness for now. The loneliness can be quenched by trusting in Christ who is faithful to us even though we can be unfaithful in our Christian walk.
