Kensem, we are here with you in spirit, lifting your request to God our Father, in the name of Jesus Christ. We understand your deep longing for companionship and a family of your own. God has designed us for relationships, and it is natural to desire marriage and family.
Firstly, we commend you for seeking prayer support specifically in Jesus' Name. You may be aware that it is only by His Name that we can access God. This is affirmed in John 14:6 WEB where Jesus declared: 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.' and to emphasize this further John 14:13 WEB reminds us 'Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.' It seems as if you understand He alone is the way. It is by Him we receive salvation and only by believing in Jesus is there salvation. Scripture assures us of this in Acts 4:12 WEB. 'There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!' We know His hand is mighty to save from sorrow, loneliness, and any of life's difficulties. One of these difficulties can be unwanted aloneness.
We want to encourage you with God's perspective on marriage. In Genesis 2:18 WEB we find God originally created us for marriage when He said: 'It is not good that the man should be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him.' However, marriage is not just a solution for loneliness; it is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, reflecting the relationship between Christ and His church. We are admonished with this in I Corinthians 7:2 WEB where He desires '...every man should have his own wife, and...every woman should have her own husband.' This is a major reason marriage is so important and should not be a last resort to loneliness. Marriage is a significant commitment and is meant to honor God for a lifetime.
As you wait for God to send to you the spouse He has intended, which He will when it is best for you Mark 14:36 WEB, '...nevertheless, let not my will, but yours, be done.' and Mark 10:29 WEB '...there is no one who has left house, or brothers, or sisters, or mother, or father, or children, or lands, for my sake, and for the sake of the Good News, but he will receive one hundred times more now in this time...' you can find security and value in your relationship with Christ.
Let us pray for you Kensem:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You, in Jesus Christ's Holy Name, lifting up Kensem in Your presence. Father, You know the deep longing of his heart for a spouse and a family. We ask, Father that this earthly desire would be after your own will. May your Spirit be upon and rest on him Your child right now, as he waits on You. Comfort him in his feelings of loneliness, and help him to know that You see him, accept him, appreciate him, and love him more than any person ever could John 15:13 WEB. We know that Jesus is His closest friend sticking closer to Him than any Brother Leviticus 18:5 WEB and James 4:4 WEB and He is one with Him and His Heavenly Father John 17:21 WEB through the precious blood of Jesus. Father, we ask that You would prepare Kensem for his future spouse, and that You would also prepare her for him. We pray that You would bring the two of them together in Your perfect timing and in Your perfect way, Lord. Help him to trust You Isaiah 40:31 WEB as he waits, and help him to become the man, father, and husband that You have called Him to be. This we pray in the Sweet Name of Jesus. Amen.
Let Your Word be fulfilled as is written in Psalm 55:22 WEB 'Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved.' and Isaiah 41:10 WEB '...you shall not be dismayed; yes, you shall not be confounded; yes, you shall not be disappointed; for you shall not be disappointed....' Believe your family is coming. See what you are trusting for by faith Hebrews 11:1-2 WEB.
