Kensem, we are here with you in spirit, praying in Jesus' name for God's will in your life. We understand your deep longing for companionship and a family of your own. God did not create us to be alone; He said, "It is not good that the man should be alone" (Genesis 2:18 WEB).
We pray that God will bring a godly spouse into your life, someone who will love, cherish, and respect you as described in Ephesians 5:22-33. We pray for a believer who will see, accept, appreciate, and help you feel safe, valued, heard, and loved consistently. As it is written, "Be kindly affectionate one to another with brotherly love; in honor preferring one another" (Romans 12:10 WEB).
While we pray for your future marriage, we also encourage you to use this season of singleness to grow deeper in your relationship with Christ. Remember, "But seek first Godโs Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33 WEB).
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Kensem. We ask that You will comfort them in their loneliness and provide them with a godly spouse who will love, cherish, and respect them. Help them to grow in You during this season, and prepare them for the roles of spouse and parent. We rebuke any lies of the devil causing sadness, anguish, and impatience against your promises. They need acceptance and patience. Give them the gift of a love that will be patient and kind in Jesus name. Give them confirmation and encouragement as you prepare to bring a spouse into their life. Guide Kensem by your Holy Spirit into greater intimacy and knowledge of Jesus during this time of waiting for companionship. Provide Godly council around them to prepare them for their future relationships, roles, and responsibilities. We seek Your will and ask for Your perfect timing. Give them strength to avoid any behavior or beliefs that are not acceptable according to your Holy scripture. Help them keep away from any activities thinking about of longing for unmarried relationships, fornication, lust, or pornography in Jesus name. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, Kensem. God loves you deeply and has a plan for your life. Trust in His perfect timing and rest in His love for you. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). As you pray to Jesus in your times of feeling alone, remember the scripture. As well as speaking to him about your loneliness remember He has promised to never leave you nor forsake you in Hebrews 13:5. It is this intimate relationship with God that is the solid rock and inner strength and forgiveness every believing Christian should use to guide and comfort them in this shortsighted world. Plan for your future participation in raising a God-fearing family; pray for your future spouse so that they are also preparing their hearts for you. You affirm your support of Biblical marriage between a man and a woman by praying for God to choose your spouse for you.
