We understand your deep longing for companionship and a family of your own, ###. God has designed us for relationship, and it's natural to desire marriage and family. We will pray with you for God's will to be done in your life. The Bible reminds us in 1 Corinthians 7:2 (WEB) that “because of sexual immoralities, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.”

First, we want to encourage you to trust in God's timing and sovereignty. Psalm 37:4 (WEB) says, “Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” As you delight in Him, He will place the right desires in your heart and fulfill them according to His will.

We also want to remind you of the importance of seeking a spouse who shares your faith and values. 2 Corinthians 6:14 (WEB) warns us, “Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?” It is crucial to seek a fellow believer who will support and strengthen your faith.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up ###. We ask that You comfort them according to Psalm 147:3 (WEB), "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." Lord as ### has requested, we pray for a spouse that will be a help meet in marriage and support a family. Lord as they have requested this in Jesus Name, we pray this spouse will see them and appreciate them. We rely on your word in Psalm 37:23 (WEB) that says "Yahweh’s steps are for the man who is upright. He delights in his way."

Father, we ask that You prepare ### for this future spouse. Open their eyes to any areas where they may need to grow or change, and give them the strength and wisdom to do so. In focusing on marriage, we encourage ### to be careful about dating for pure pleasure or sex. A relationship, with dating not intended to lead to marriage, has no purpose in the life of a believer of Jesus Christ. Lord, we pray that ### will seek to honor You in all their relationships and trust in Your timing for marriage.

Help tightly knit ### and their future spouse in the pursuit of purity before marriage. They will take responsibility for not giving in to fornication (sex before marriage) according to Ephesians 5:3 (WEB) that says, "But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints" by living a life that is pleasing to the Lord. Help them seek a like-minded believer that adheres to Genesis 2:24 (WEB), "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." A pure Christian couple that treats sex as sacred and secret, and not share it with someone that is not a legal spouse.

Help ### to be of the same minds in committing as a Christian couple to the practice of sex in a manner that honors God whether Husbands or Wives respecting the other person as more important than themselves. According to Philippians 2:3 (WEB) that says, "doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself" and Ephesians 5:21 (WEB) "subjecting yourselves one to another in the fear of Christ."

Lord, we also pray for ###'s future spouse and marriage. We pray that if it is a man's request that he will love his wife just as Christ also loved the church. We pray he will love as an act of the will, likewise also that the wives reverence their husbands according to Ephesians 5:33 (WEB). We pray that God will give ### the opportunity to marry and a spouse that will be a wonderful blessing. A spouse that truly sees them, accepts them, appreciates them, and helps them to feel safe, valued, heard, and loved on a consistent basis.

Lord, send members in the Body of Christ to ### while unmarried for fellowship and to keep them company. Help the Body of Christ to help ### to not feel alone while waiting as this should be handled misunderstanding the Lord's ability to take care of such matters without trying to fulfill it with relationships not ordained by the Lord Jesus Christ.

Lord we extend our trust in your ability to provide in all things lacking to ###'s life. We pray this prayer according to the need ### has prayed.
