We understand your struggle, Jescollyn, and we are here to stand with you in prayer and counsel. It seems you're feeling overwhelmed by mental attacks, and it's affecting your focus on the Lord. The feelings of sadness, anxiety, and guilt from past mistakes are weighing heavily on you. Let's turn to God's Word for comfort and guidance.
Firstly, it's crucial to understand that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). This knowledge helps us direct our resistance towards the true source of our spiritual battles.
In 2 Corinthians 10:5 (WEB), we are encouraged to "take every thought captive to make it obedient to Christ." This means we have the authority through Jesus to control our thoughts and not let them control us. When feelings of guilt, anxiety, or sadness arise, capture those thoughts and submit them to the obedience of Christ.
Remember, there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1, WEB). Jesus has freed you from the guilt of your past. It's important to accept this forgiveness and move forward.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You, lifting up Jescollyn who is feeling mentally attacked, overwhelmed by sadness, anxiety, and guilt. We ask for Your healing touch. Give Jescollyn clarity and wisdom, and help them to capture every thought and make it obedient to You. Remind Jescollyn that there is no condemnation for those in You, and help them to walk in the freedom of Your forgiveness. We rebuke any spiritual forces trying to control Jescollyn's mind, and we proclaim victory in Your mighty name. Restore Jescollyn's focus on You, Lord, and fill their heart with Your peace. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Continue to fix your thoughts on what is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8, WEB). Keep persevering in prayer and trust that God is working in your life. Don't forget, you are deeply loved by God, and He has a purpose for you.
