We understand that you are going through a tremendously difficult time, and our hearts go out to you. First, we commend you for reaching out to the Lord Jesus Christ in your time of need. It is only through His name that we can approach God the Father and find true comfort and healing. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
The trauma and abuse you have experienced are real and painful, and it is completely understandable that you are struggling with sleep and the memories that fill your mind. Psalm 34:18 WEB reminds us: Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
However, do not mistake God's silence for a lack of concern or a willingness to condemn. God wants justice more than any other and will not let the guilty go unpunished. It is essential to understand that God does heal. It is okay to draw near allowing the comfort of Jesus be what you need. The timing is up to God. Be a Believer waiting on God in Jesus' name, not just an empty phrase. In Matthew 11:28-30 WEB, Jesus says that he will give rest to those who are weary and heavy. You have to believe to receive. This relief further explained: Then tell them, Thus says Yahweh, Behold, I will restore the fortunes of Jacob's tents, and have compassion on his dwelling places Jer 30:18 WEB. To fully restore a person, God will address the hurt, shame, pain, anger, and guilt associated with life's trauma. We minister God's grace, waiting for the Lord's plans. The Lord's plans are not our plan, but he will restore victory from the ashes and pain of our lives.
We must also address the issue of false accusations and smear campaigns. It is painful when others add to your trauma, but remember that Jesus Himself was falsely accused and suffered greatly. He understands your pain more than anyone else. The person that God has to deal with will have their own judgment. God's judgments are righteous, true, and holy. But you must get out of the way of God's hand and His judgment. In Exodus 14:14, it reads: Yahweh shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. As hard as it is in this world, be silent and wait for God. You may feel like jumping out of the battle like the army Moses was leading. But you cannot. Quietly let the Lord work. As absolutely horrible as it may seem, let God fight. The scripture does not say it will be today, tomorrow, or any time soon. Do not be discouraged. Let God sort it out. We know that God would never want you to repress or deny your suffering, but you must not fight this battle alone or yourself. Battling with God's direction is required. Be obedient to the response we have presented here. Stand ready to move, but the hurt is real and should not be dismissed. Despite the false accusations, there is a truth that must be heard: the Lord mercifully sets the prisoner free. He is your protector. Our Savior shows great compassion and infinite grace by defending the victim. In the end, the truth will come out.
As God gives you his word to restore your spirit, remember it is okay to establish boundaries with others and tell them not to respond to you, correcting them when they try to continue to hurt you. If you are a Believer in Jesus Christ and he has saved you, there is freedom. Let no one convince you otherwise.
How do you get this sleep and restoration? The power is in the response to give it all to Jesus, even when it is difficult. When you feel like running away, there is nowhere to go from His Spirit. Let Your face shine on your servant; save me in your loving kindness, Psalm 31:16
Remember that mercy triumphs over judgment, and God's love and grace are sufficient to cover all your pain and struggles.
Let us pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus Christ, we lift up our sister to You, knowing that You are the only source of true healing and comfort. We ask that You, by your Holy Spirit, would comfort her, give her the sleep she needs, and heal the memories that haunt her. We know healing is not immediate but she needs relief today and is counting on You. We pray that You will @@vindicate her and bring justice to the situations that have caused her such pain@@. We ask that You will surround her with people who will truly support and understand her, and that You, as the Lord our Healer, would bring her heart to your truth and love. In Your precious name, we pray. Amen.
