We join you in praying for your daughter, seeking God's will for her life. We ask that the Lord would grant her a spirit of confidence, rooted not in herself, but in the knowledge of who she is in Christ. As it is written in 2 Timothy 1:7 (WEB), "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."
Let's pray that she would develop deep, godly friendships, surrounded by those who encourage her in her faith and challenge her to grow. Proverbs 27:17 (WEB) tells us, "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens the face of another." We pray that her high school experience would be marked by these kinds of relationships, and that she would continue to grow in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and man, just as Jesus did (Luke 2:52, WEB).
We also pray that she would trust in the Lord and His plans for her life. May she be assured that God has a purpose and a plan for her, just as Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB) promises, "For I know the plans that I have for you,” says Yahweh, “plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future."
In praying for her relationships, we encourage her to seek friendships that honor God, and as she grows, to consider romantic relationships as potential paths to godly marriage. We remind her that in all her relationships, she should strive to honor God and keep herself pure.
Lastly, we pray all this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is by His name alone that we are saved (John 14:6, Acts 4:12, WEB). If you have not already, we encourage you to teach her about the saving power of Jesus Christ, so that she may grow in her faith and confidence in Him.
Father in heaven, we lift up this daughter before you, asking for your blessings and guidance in her life. May she grow in confidence, form deep friendships, and trust in your plans for her. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
