We understand your heartfelt concern for your teen daughter, and we join you in bringing this matter before the Lord. Let's pray together and seek guidance from God's Word.
Firstly, let's remember that true confidence comes from understanding our worth in Christ. As it is written in Psalm 139:14 (WEB), "I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well." We pray that your daughter comes to realize the truth of this scripture, that she is indeed beautifully and wonderfully made by her Creator.
However, we must also address the root of her anxiety and worry. It's important for her to understand that the opinion of others should not define her worth. In Galatians 1:10 (WEB), it says, "For if I were still pleasing people, I wouldn’t be a servant of Christ." We pray that she learns to seek approval from God alone and not from the world.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious daughter to you. Lord, we ask that you reveal to her her true worth, the beauty and uniqueness with which you created her. Help her to see herself through your eyes, and not the eyes of the world.
We rebuke the spirit of anxiety and worry in her life. May she find her confidence and security in you alone. Lord, guide her steps, give her wisdom, and surround her with godly influences that will encourage her in her walk with you.
We also pray for her relationship with you, Lord. May she come to know you more intimately, accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, if she hasn't already. Fill her with your Spirit, and let your love cast out all fear and anxiety in her life.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
