Dear Lord, we come before You today to lift up our brother or sister in Christ who is struggling with anxiety at work. We pray that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB).
We ask, Father, that You would replace their anxiety with confidence. Remind them that they can do all things through Christ who strengthens them (Philippians 4:13, WEB), and that the spirit of fear does not come from You, but rather the spirit of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB).
We pray for a comfortable and supportive working environment for them. May their colleagues be kind and helpful, and may their superiors guide them with fairness and wisdom. We ask that You would help them to excel in their daily tasks, with a spirit of excellence and diligence, as though they are working for You, not for men (Colossians 3:23, WEB).
In their time of need, we encourage them to cast all their anxieties on You, Lord, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). Let this be a chance for them to grow stronger in faith and dependence on You.
Lastly, we noticed that their request did not mention the name of Jesus. We want to remind them that it is by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12, WEB). We pray that they would come to know Jesus more deeply and trust in His powerful name.
We pray all these things in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
Be strong and courageous, dear brother or sister. Trust in the Lord, and He will guide your path (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB).
