Completed job interview

I'm struggling to maintain good thoughts. Asking for patience and good will toward others. I completed the second round of interviews for a job at a university. There is stiff competition. I did my best at the time and I pray that it was enough. I know at least one of the other applicants and do not believe they would be true to this position. They can seem personable and friendly, but they are not genuine. I believe that I can excel at this position. I pray they can see that. At the end of the day I've done all that I can do. It's out of my hands and I will accept the decision. I believe it will be what it is meant to be. If it is not me, then I hope whoever it is will do right by this position. And since the other person's interview is coming up, I pray that I will not turn to jealousy or hateful thoughts.

Firstly, let's remember what the Apostle Paul wrote in Philippians 4:8 (WEB), "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things." In light of this, we pray that God fills your mind with such thoughts, casting out any feelings of jealousy or ill will.

Regarding your concern about the other applicant, we must remember that it is not our place to judge others' authenticity. Instead, let us pray for them, as instructed in Matthew 5:44 (WEB), "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you."

Dear Lord,

I pray for my friend right now. I pray that you will help them with the struggles they are going through in this season. For you know exactly what they need in this moment. Draw near to them, and let them feel your presence. Open their eyes, ears, and hearts to you.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.

Thank you everybody for your prayers and words. I have not heard about the job yet but I feel that I'm in a much better place now. I have to understand that sometimes I may pray for something so badly but sometimes the answer is no. Sometimes there's a different path that I just cannot see right now. I'm accepting whatever the decision is and if it was not meant to be, then it was not meant to be.
I am praying for those who mistreat me. It is extremely hard to love those who don't love you. But it is important to follow His teachings. I need to remember to be thankful for everything I've been given. I need to remember not to always ask but to give as well.
