We join you in committing your day to God, and we are blessed to pray with you. Committing our days to God is a powerful way to acknowledge His sovereignty and our dependence on Him.
It is wonderful that you have mentioned the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by this name that we can be saved. Therefore, this request is a great example of what a prayer should include.
Let's start with some specifics. Asking for God's overflowing mercy and grace to locate you and your family is a wonderful request. This reminds us of the promise in Hebrews 4:16, "Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need."
You have asked for blessings, protection, guidance and to be filled with inner peace, love, joy and happiness. These are all things that God wants for His children. In John 14:27, Jesus says, "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful." And in Galatians 5:22-23, the Apostle Paul lists the fruit of the Spirit, which includes love, joy, and peace.
We have a wonderful promise in Psalm 37:23, "A man’s goings are established by Yahweh. He delights in his way."
And again in Proverbs 3:6, "In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."
It is also wonderful that you ask for the grace to be loved by all and to love all. This brings to mind the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:44, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,"
Lastly, asking for provision and the grace to love God and do His will is a wonderful way to open your heart to God's blessings. In Matthew 6:31-33, Jesus tells us, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You as a group in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, committing our day to You. We pray for Your overflowing mercy and grace to locate us and our families today. Lord, please bless and protect us, guide and lead us. Fill us with inner peace, love, joy, and happiness. Give us the grace to be loved by all and to love all. Provide for us this day and give us the grace to love You and do Your will.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
May the love of Christ dwell in you as you seek to glorify God.
