Matthew 11:28 NLT

Key Thought

Tired! Weary! Exhausted! Depleted! Burdened! Is that you? There are times when the limits of our mortality overwhelm our intentions, commitments, and abilities. In our quest for significance, we chase so many things. But there is only one true source of significance that leads to rest: We must surrender all of those burdens to Jesus and trust the significance he has already given us (Colossians 1:18-20;Matthew 12:50; Hebrews 2:11-12). Why is it so hard for us to come to Jesus ... to let him begin right now where we are in our lives? We need to put down our burdens and come to him.

Today's Prayer

Lord God Almighty, you are marvelous beyond description and majestic beyond comprehension. But since you came to my world in Jesus, I come to him to find you. Please help me know you as I come to Jesus for rest. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.

💓 Pray This Prayer From Your Heart: God I ask You in Jesus’ name cause and bless me to grow in the holiness of God. Help me and show me how to keep my focus on You, rest my mind in Christ's purity of heart, and always seek Jesus as my source and standard of holiness. God also show me how and help me to focus on, appreciate, and excel in my spiritual gifts, and the calling You have placed upon my life. God don't let me be envious or jealous of others because of their gifts, callings, and or blessings. But let me focus on and appreciate You and what You have done for me and blessed me with. God please do the same for the writer of this prayer, all my family, friends, and every member of my church. Thank You Jesus. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so in Jesus’ name!
