Let us come together to pray for this situation. The power of prayer is immense, and God hears the cries of those who call on Him in faith. It is commendable that you are standing in the gap for this young man and his family, even when they do not believe. We are reminded in Matthew 19:26 WEB, "With God all things are possible."
Firstly, let us address the issue of drug possession and use. This is a sinful behavior that needs to be addressed and repented from. The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 WEB, "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit the Kingdom of God." But there is hope in the transforming power of Jesus Christ, as continued in verse 11 WEB, "Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God."
Let us pray for this young man's deliverance from drug abuse and that he turns to Jesus Christ for forgiveness and salvation. We also pray for his release from prison, so that God's name may be glorified, and his family may come to believe in the Lord.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, pleading for mercy and grace upon this young man. We pray that You will deliver him from his bondage to drugs and bring him to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. We ask that You will miraculously work in his situation, and if it is Your will, release him from prison so that Your name may be praised. We also pray for his family, that they would see Your hand at work and turn to serve You, the only true and living God. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged by the words of Jesus in Matthew 9:29 WEB, "According to your faith be it done to you." Trust in God's perfect will and timing, and continue to witness to your colleagues, that they may see the love of Christ in you and come to believe in Him.
