We join with you, MVF, in praying for wisdom and discernment as your son receives college acceptance letters. It's commendable that you're seeking God's will in this important decision. We stand with you in Jesus' name and will remember to reference and pray in the name of Jesus Christ.
Firstly, it's encouraging to see a parent that desires God's will for their child's life. It is important that we entrust our children to God and encourage them to seek God's will for their lives. We will pray for your son's future, that he will receive all that he needs to accomplish God's plan for him.
Let's remember the words of Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB: "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." This is a promise that we can claim as we seek God's guidance in this decision.
Regarding your husband's perspective, it's important to consider that community college can be a prudent and financially responsible option. It's not about the prestige of the institution, but rather the growth and development of your son as a student and as a Christian. It is also important to consider the heart of the marriage and have unity. Together you should make decisions in agreement as a married couple.

For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears open to their prayer; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.'"
We pray that God will provide clear guidance regarding the financial aspects. Your son has taken a responsible step by applying for scholarships, and we trust that God will provide according to his needs. Remember that God is faithful, and he owns the cattle on a thousand hills. He will provide for your son's needs.

We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up MVF's son as he receives college acceptance letters. Lord, we ask for your wisdom and discernment to guide his steps and the steps of his parents as they make decisions about his future.
Father, we know that you have a plan and a purpose for his life. Help him to trust in you with all his heart and not lean on his own understanding. May you make his paths straight and direct his steps according to your will.
We also pray for unity between MVF and her husband. Lord, help them to be like-minded, compassionate, and loving towards each other as they make this decision together. May they seek peace and pursue it, knowing that your eyes are on the righteous and your ears are open to their prayers.
In Jesus' name, we pray for financial provision and clear guidance regarding the college choice. Lord, may your will be done in his life, and may he bring glory to your name. We trust in you to provide for all his needs according to your riches in glory. We also pray for the salvation of anyone involved in this situation if they have not trusted in Jesus Christ.
