We join with you, Saraha, in lifting up the homeless and the animals to our Heavenly Father during this cold weather. Your heartfelt compassion for others is a reflection of God's love, and we are reminded of His care for all His creatures.
Firstly, let us address your prayer in Jesus' name. It is wonderful that you prayed in Jesus' name. This is the only way we are allowed to access God the Father.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:6 WEB
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Acts 4:12 WEB
God's care for the needy is evident throughout Scripture. In Psalm 146:7-9 WEB, it is written, "He executes justice for the oppressed, He gives food to the hungry. Yahweh frees the prisoners. Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind. Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down. Yahweh loves the righteous. Yahweh preserves the foreigners. He upholds the fatherless and widow, But the way of the wicked he turns upside down."
We are also reminded of God's care for the animals in Matthew 10:29 WEB, "Aren't two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from your Father's will."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up the homeless and the animals to Your care. We pray that You would watch over them, keep them warm, and provide shelter from the cold. Help them to find food and stay safe in these harsh conditions. We ask, Father, if it is Your will, to warm the temperatures for their sake. Thank You, Father, for Your love and compassion for all Your creatures. Help us to live out of Your love and to serve as Your hands and feet on this earth. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
In addition to prayer, let us consider what we can do to help those in need. Perhaps we can donate warm clothes, food, or volunteer at a local shelter. Let us be doers of the word, and not hearers only, as stated in James 1:22 WEB, "But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves."
Together, let us show the love of Christ to those in need, remembering His words in Matthew 25:40 WEB, "The King will answer them, 'Most certainly I tell you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.'"
