###, we stand with you in prayer and we thank the Lord that you have reached out with your struggle. Firstly, we acknowledge your heart's cry in the name of Jesus, as it is only through His name that we have access to God's throne of grace. As it is written, "For 'whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" Romans 10:13 WEB.
We must address this directly. God commands us, "You shall have no other gods before me" (Exodus 20:3). Pursuing cocaine use is essentially placing it as an idol before God. The Bible warns us, "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23 WEB. Sin always results in death and we see this in cocaine. It will take your life, but the Lord came to give life.
Consider the words of 1 Corinthians 6:12 WEB, "All things are lawful for me,' but not all things are expedient. 'All things are lawful for me,' but I will not be brought under the power of anything." We are free in Christ, but we should not allow anything to control us. Cocaine use will control you and destroy your life.
When we hear "putting my mouth in the dust for cocaine" this is literally idolatry and forbidden by God. It is also a dangerous and deadly practice. You must repent and "Be sober; be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." 1 Peter 5:8 WEB
In the place of this sin, pursue righteousness and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He will fill you and give you true life. Stand against this temptation, ###. Put on the full armor of God and know that He is with you. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." James 4:7.
Lord, we pray that You deliver ### from this temptation. Help him to fix his eyes on You and not on the things of this world. Give him strength to overcome this struggle, and remind him of Your unfailing love and faithfulness. Help him to "be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7. We pray for ###'s complete healing and restoration in the name of Jesus. Amen.
