We are truly saddened to hear about the pain and hurt caused by the pastor's words and actions. It is important to remember that God looks at the heart, and His love and grace are extended to all, regardless of their physical abilities or educational background. The pastor needs to rebuke these hateful words and feelings for God is no respecter of persons.
Firstly, it is crucial to address the pastor's behavior. The Bible tells us that "All of you be like-minded, compassionate, loving as brothers, tenderhearted, courteous, not rendering evil for evil, or insult for insult; but instead blessing; knowing that to this were you called, that you may inherit a blessing." (1 Peter 3:8-9 WEB) The pastor's words and actions did not align with these principles, and we pray that God will convict him of the importance of love, kindness, and compassion.
Secondly, it is essential to address the idea of being a "Facebook Christian." Being a "Facebook Christian" is not a well-known phrase that is found in the Bible. God sees the heart and there is no requirement for a person needing to be physically present in a church for all their worship. Often God uses people who may not be physically in a church for some of their worship or even all of their worship to do great things for the Kingdom. The pastor of persons is Jesus Christ. The pastor of a church should not be proud or condescending, but an example of humility and Christlike love.
Next, it is important to address the issue of hearing God's voice. In the Bible, we read, "Be still, and know that I am God." (Psalm 46:10 WEB) God speaks to us in various ways, and having a disability does not disqualify anyone from hearing His voice. God may speak through His word in the scriptures or He may bring an understanding of them to our mind. It also says in the Bible that He speaks to us in a still, small voice. Even if some things may make it more difficult to hear God's voice, you can ask God for help and expect His help. It is heartening to know that ### heard God's voice at a young age, and we pray that God will continue to speak to her and minister to her heart.
Finally, we want to encourage her to seek God's will for her life and to find a community of believers who will love, accept, and support her. The Bible tells us, "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." (Galatians 6:2 WEB) It is essential to find a church family that will bear her burdens with her, rather than adding to them.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our sister in need of Your comfort and encouragement. Lord, we pray that You will minister to her heart and help her to forgive the pastor for his hurtful words and actions. Father, we ask that You will speak to her in a way that she can hear and understand, and that You will guide her to a community of believers who will love and support her. Lord, we also pray for the pastor, that You will convict his heart and help him to see the error of his ways. Father, help him to be a true shepherd, leading Your people with love, kindness, and compassion.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we ask that You help her hear and understand what Jesus said. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." We thank You for Jesus Christ's sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection for our sins. Through faith in Jesus Christ, we have eternal life and access to God.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
