We are delighted to hear of your desire to draw closer to God, Ninoreth. This is a wonderful aspiration, and we are here to support and pray with you on this journey.
Firstly, let's remember the words of James: "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." (James 4:8 WEB). This is a beautiful promise that as we take steps towards God, He comes closer to us.
To grow closer to God, it's essential to spend time in His Word, the Bible. Jesus prayed for His disciples and us, "Sanctify them in your truth. Your word is truth." (John 17:17 WEB). As you read the Bible, ask God to reveal Himself to you and to teach you His truths.
Prayer is another crucial aspect of deepening your relationship with God. In 1 Thessalonians 5:17, we are encouraged to "Pray without ceasing." Make prayer a regular part of your day, talking to God as you would a close friend.
Lastly, ensure that you are in fellowship with other believers. Hebrews 10:25 encourages us to "not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching." Fellowship with other Christians can provide support, encouragement, and accountability.
Let's pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus, we lift up Ninoreth to You. Thank You for placing this desire in their heart to draw closer to You. We ask that You reveal Yourself to Ninoreth in a deeper way as they spend time in Your Word and in prayer. Surround them with godly fellowship, and help them to grow in Your truth. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to press into God, Ninoreth. He is faithful and will meet you as you seek Him. If you haven't already, ensure that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. It's only through Him that we have access to God the Father (John 14:6). Keep pursuing Him, and you will find the closeness you desire.
