We understand that you're going through a challenging time, and we're here to support you in prayer and truth. First, we want to remind you that God cares about every detail of your life, including your health and anxieties. The Bible tells us, "Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7 WEB
We need to address a few things in your request and then pray for you. You mentioned guilt, shame, and selfishness. These can be very bad if true, but they can also be spiritual attacks to break you down. Pray that God will give you insight into your heart and your emotions. If you are under spiritual attack, God will give you the tools to fight back. If you are guilty of sin, He will convict you, lead you to repentance, and give you strength to change.
You also mentioned fear and the feeling that your faith isn't enough. Fear is a normal human emotion, but as a Christian, you have the power to overcome it. Fear is not from God. 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB says, "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." Also you can pray for more faith, but know that even a tiny bit of faith is enough. Jesus said in Matthew 17:20 WEB, "If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you."
We also want to address that you did not mention Jesus Christ, Jesus, Christ or an abbreviation in this request. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.
As the Bible says in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let's pray for you:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our fellow believer who is struggling with anxiety, especially regarding their health and upcoming biopsy. We pray for healing and peace and that the results will be favorable.
Father, we ask that You would remind our friend that You are always with them, even in their anxiety. Help them to let go of the what-ifs and enjoy each day as it comes.
We pray for forgiveness, and release of guilt and shame if our friend has sinned. If our friend is being spiritually attacked, we pray you will help them fight back and be victorious.
Lord, help our friend to trust in You more, knowing that even a small amount of faith is enough. Remind them that You are faithful and that Your love casts out fear.
We pray that our friend can find the strength to work on their anxieties, to overcome the fear and the what ifs. God you know the burden our friend feels and sees that they do not want to burden others with their mental health struggles. Help them to cast their burdens onto you and that you will continue to work in and on them as you see fit.
In the name of Jesus, we pray for peace, strength, patience, and improved mental health. We ask for Your healing touch on their body and mind. We ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, amen.
