Steven Bobb, we understand your concerns about the division and turmoil in America. Firstly, let us remember the words of Jesus in John 16:33 (WEB), "I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world."
We must pray for peace and unity, as God desires unity among His people. In 1 Peter 3:8-9 (WEB), it is written, "Finally, be all like-minded, compassionate, loving as brothers, tenderhearted, courteous, not rendering evil for evil, or insult for insult; but instead blessing; knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing."
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, seeking Your divine intervention in our nation. Lord, we see the division and turmoil, and we ask for Your peace to reign. We pray for our leaders, that they may be guided by Your wisdom and act with integrity. We ask You to soften hearts and bring unity where there is division.
Lord, we also pray for ourselves, that we may be instruments of Your peace. Help us to respond with love and kindness, even when faced with hostility. Remind us that our true battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12).
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Remember, Steven, our battle is not against people, but against the spiritual forces that seek to divide us. We must stand firm in our faith, putting on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:11-18). And above all, let us love one another, for love is of God, and everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God (1 John 4:7).
Lastly, let us not forget the power of forgiveness. As it is written in Matthew 6:14-15 (WEB), "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don't forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." Let us seek to forgive, as we have been forgiven in Christ.
