With all the lack of understanding and wicked encouragement in the midst, I have to share this story. Not to condemn anyone, nor to pat myself on the back; but simply to give an example of godly circling about, to those who may not know.
We've all heard the phrase "Circle of Life," well I'd like to think of this as "Circle of Love."
Last week, as I was sitting eating lunch, a young man, obviously coming down from a cush high, came and sat down at the adjacent table, with his back to me. And while he accused me of casting spells, I noticed that he kept turning to look at my food, with an obvious hunger. You see even though it was obvious to me that, mispercieving me as his enemy, the young man had bought into to the misinfluece and foolishness that seems to be pervasive in the land. Drug addict or not, we all get hungry - a natural and basic need that must be satisfied. Whatever the motivation, his behavior did not absolve me from my Christian duty towards him.
After eating half the meal; a very nice meal, I might add, of bourbon chicken with rice and beans; I closed the container, placed a clean fork and napkin on top, and left it there, along with a fresh bottle of water. As I walked away, I didn't even have to look back, I could hear that he was thoroughly enjoying the meal. That satisfied another basic need - that of extending true love, through the "fruit of the Spirit" of kindness. God had blessed me with the meal through someone else, in the first place; how could I, as a Christian, professing to have the mind of Christ, which is to give, not circle that love back around, whether he thought me to be an enemy or not?
Whether a World Series, Super Bowl, Basketball, hopscotch championship, or any other of our hearts' desires, "giving" is the circling about that moves God in our favor; not withholding, retracting, or ignoring the need.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He GAVE His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
