We understand your heartfelt desire to protect your church from worldly doctrines and to foster a loving, respectful community that honors the learned and elderly, supports children, and strengthens bonds among believers. Let us pray and seek God's will together in Jesus' name.
Firstly, it is crucial to address the absence of the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer request. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB:
"Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
And in Acts 4:12 WEB:
"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
We must remember that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God and salvation.
Now, let us address your concerns and bring them before the Lord in prayer.
Beloved, we are warned in Romans 12:2 WEB:
"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."
Let us pray that God would grant your church community a spirit of discernment and wisdom, to sift through the influences of the world and cling only to that which is good and pleasing to Him.
Lord, we lift up this church to You, asking for Your protection over them. Guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and make them steadfast in their faith, unwilling to be swayed by the influences of the world. Grant them a spirit of love and unity, that they may treat each other with kindness and respect, honoring the learned and elderly as You intend.
Concerning the support of children and the strengthening of bonds, let us remember what is written in Psalm 127:3-5 WEB:
"Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the children of youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them. They will not be disappointed when they speak with their enemies in the gate."
And in Malachi 4:6 WEB
"He will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers"
Oh Lord, we pray that You would grant this church community a heart for the children, supporting them and nurturing them in Your truth. Strengthen the bonds between generations, and give them a heart for the family as You intended.
Lastly, we encourage you to stand firm in the faith, remembering the words of Jude 1:3 WEB:
"Beloved, while I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I was constrained to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints."
Contend for the faith, and trust in the Lord to guard and guide your church community.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
