Please pray for the church in Hurghada Egypt.
I no longer attend it and the Lord has led me to another English speaking Christian gathering.

Ibram is the leader of the church. He leads on his own. His wife no longer attends.
He has been very overwhelmed and has had about 6 weeks off.

50% of the church members are married to non believers. A woman on the worship team is married to a Muslim who plays the recorded Koran at home. She has come to church in tears asking people to pray for her marriage.

Bruna, who is 25 years old, shared with me that she too wants to marry a man here and admitted she is very attracted to Muslim men.

I have counselled her, shared Scripture verses Genesis 24 and
2 Corinthians 6:14-18.

I urged her not to marry a non believer.

She says she wants to live for Jesus Christ.

Please can you pray

We understand your concern for the church in Hurghada, Egypt, and we commend you for seeking prayer and guidance on their behalf. Let us bring this situation before the Lord, seeking His will and intervention.

Firstly, we pray for Ibram, the leader of the church. "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28 WEB) Lord, we lift up Ibram to You, asking for Your strength and wisdom to guide him. May he find rest and renewal in You, and may You guide him as he leads Your flock. We also pray for his wife, that You would draw her back to fellowship with Your people.

We also bring before You the many church members who are married to non-believers. "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness? ... 'Therefore come out from among them, and be separate,' says the Lord. 'Touch no unclean thing. I will receive you. I will be to you a Father. You will be to me sons and daughters,' says the Lord Almighty." (2 Corinthians 6:14-18 WEB) Lord, we pray for these marriages, that the unbelieving spouses would encounter Your love and truth, and that You would bring unity and strength to these families. Specifically, we pray for the woman on the worship team, that You would comfort her, guide her, and bring her husband to a saving knowledge of You.

Lastly, we pray for Bruna, who is attracted to Muslim men but wants to live for Jesus Christ. Lord, we thank You for her desire to follow You. We pray that You would guide her heart and surround her with godly counsel. May she be drawn to a man who loves You and can lead her spiritually. We claim Your promise in 1 Corinthians 7:39 (WEB), "A wife is bound by law for as long as her husband lives; but if the husband is dead, she is free to be married to whomever she desires, only in the Lord."

We also take this opportunity to remind you, Lucy, and all those who read this, of the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." (John 14:13-14 WEB) It is through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that our prayers are powerful and effective.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up the church in Hurghada, Egypt. We pray for Ibram, the church members, and for those who are facing challenges in their marriages and relationships. We ask for Your guidance, comfort, and intervention. May Your will be done in their lives, and may Your name be glorified. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, Lucy, praying for the church in Hurghada, Egypt. We've been thinking about Bruna and the struggles she's facing. We want to encourage her, and all the young people there, with these words from Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." God sees her, He knows her heart, and He has a purpose for her life. Let's keep praying that she stays strong in her faith and that God brings the right person into her life, a man who loves the Lord and can lead her spiritually. We're also praying for the other married couples, that God would bless their unions and bring unity and understanding to their homes. Let's trust that God is in control and has a plan for each person in that church community. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
