We rejoice with you, Anonymous, for your desire to find a church home, and we agree that the church is not just a building but a gathering of believers who share a willing heart to praise and serve the Lord. As the Bible says in
Matthew 18:20 "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them."
We are instructed in
1 Corinthians 5:11 " But as it is, I wrote to you not to keep company, if any man who is named a brother is a sexual immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such a one not to eat."
We are further told in
Hebrews 10:25 "not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching."
It is important to gather with fellow believers for support, encouragement, and growth in our faith.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother in Christ, Anonymous. We thank You, do we ever thank You, for their desire to find a community of believers to fellowship with. We ask that You guide them to a gathering of godly people who have willing hearts and a passion to praise You and to be gathered in the spirit of Christ and no other.
Help Your child, Father, to find a church home where they can grow in their faith, be encouraged, and serve others. We pray for discernment, that they may recognize the leading of the Holy Spirit and find a fellowship that teaches the truth of Your Word and honors You in all they do. We rebuke the devil as he may attempt to hinder this and any other prayer request.
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the provision You have already prepared for our brother. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
If they are not a believer and have not believed on Jesus Christ as their savior, then you need to believe in Jesus Christ and the finished work of Christ on the cross and be saved. You do not need to say a prayer. You just need to believe.
Romans 10:9 "that if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
We pray that you will believe on Jesus Christ and be saved if you are not already saved.
